There's a place to supply a login within the software, but no instructions on where or how to set up an account. I also couldn't find any information in the help section about how to connect FamilySearch to RootsMagic. MyHeritage also has tools to create a family tree, and these issues made me want to simply use MyHeritage for everything. Is the information in my profile or not? Well, the information never showed up in my profile nor could I find instructions or guidance in their support section of how to add it.

When I confirmed hints, a message popped up saying I could find that information in my profile, but that I also could review the record and extract useful information and add it manually to my profile. Once I did, I could easily view and confirm hints, which in my case, included nearly every address at which I've lived. If you get a MyHeritage hint but don't have a subscription, you're able to view part of the record in your web browser, but you can't see all the info until you sign up. Click on the lightbulb, and you can see all pending and confirmed hints. As I mentioned, in order to view these hints, you'll need logins to one or both of these services, and MyHeritage requires a paid subscription, which is billed annually. You can opt in and out of these hints by going into your preferences.

As you add family members, you'll see a lightbulb icon on some of the tree branches, which are Webhints, culled from and MyHeritage. First, I added an entry for myself and then worked my way through my extended family. I opted to create a new tree, and, at the start, it was rather simple. You can also export your RootsMagic data as a GEDCOM file, should you choose to leave the service.
